Just been informed G/Y 3199 (36") has a thicker bead area therefore requires a specific rim or ring than if you previously ran a 1490 or 2622 (34.5") tire? anybody have more info??

We are aware that Mickey Thompson 15 inch tires have a thinner bundle than GY and Hoosier. I would check with GY to clarify for sure.
Thanks

The Goodyear "Fuel" tire does have a thicker bead bundle than their conventional 16" tires. The Weld Magnum Pro 28 bolt 786XPTF wheels have a beadloc ring configuration engineered for this different bead bundle, and has been in use by the John Force Racing cars for more than a year. However many AFD and Pro Mod teams that run the Goodyear "Fuel" are using our conventional 18 bolt Magnum Pro wheel as well.
What type of application do you have?
