Hi I run a 1985 Mustang coupe. Its powered by a 377 cleveland engine. I use a 28.0X10.5 Draglite rim. The width is 8 inches. This is what worries me is the width is to small causing loss of traction. Should I use a 9 inch tire because I have 8 inch rims. The car has problems hooking.

your question doesn't make sense? you have 28" rims on your car? i don't get it. stock fox bodies can fit a 28 x 10.5 TIRE i have these on my car and all you need to do is remove your quad shocks and have the proper offset. if your having problems hooking i'dlook at the compound of your tire and your suspension set up befor i'd ever think about my rims being the problem
