is it possible to remove a spacer from a wheel that has been welded to the wheel?

I have a set that I would really like to remove the spacer on to achieve more back spacing on the wheel. thanks,

Scott

Scott,

I don't understand what "spacer" you are refering to. What model wheel do you have? Maybe we can help if we know exactly the wheel you are trying to alter.

Thanks,

I have a set of Bogarts that have the spacer welded to the wheel. It is about a 1/2 inch thick.

If this is something you would have to look at, I am not too far away. (In Lees Summit).

Scott,

A wheel should never be altered from its original as manufactured state. Alterations can and will affect a wheels ability to carry load and therefore it's safety.

If the spacer can be easily removed resulting a wheel as manufactured by Bogart then that is how it should be used on a vehicle.

You may want to get ahold of Rich Bogart. We can help you get in touch with him if you need.

Thanks,
